Base Price Now Available for All Cart Transformation Users
The base price feature is a great way to account for packaging fees or extra costs associated with your bundles. Previously, it was only available for stores using the legacy cart transformation or order editing.
Starting today, this feature is now supported for all stores using the new cart transformation. When creating or editing a bundle with either a percentage-off or fixed-amount-off discount, you can now set a base price on the Additional Options page.
How does the base price work?
Here's a simple example:
Suppose you create a bundle that lets customers select 3 items for 10% off and add a base price of $10. If the total of the 3 items is $100:
Discounted bundle price = ($100 + $10) × 90% = $99
The base price increases the total before the discount is applied. It’s charged in your store’s currency. When a customer browses your store in another currency, our app automatically converts the bundle price accordingly.
This feature is available for all BYOB plans.
Still using the legacy cart transformation or order editing?
If you are still using the legacy features, our app continues to generate new variants and products when a bundle is built.
Feel free to contact us to upgrade to the new cart transformation. After that, our app will not generate new variants and products. Only 1 bundle product will keep the bundles functioning.
